Alpes-Maritimes
A quiet harbour between Nice and Monaco, and the fleet’s home berth.
The port
Beaulieu-sur-Mer
Beaulieu is the calmest port on this stretch of coast and the reason the fleet keeps its boats here. It sits in the lee of Cap Ferrat, which means flat water on mornings when Nice is choppy, and it is ten minutes by sea from Villefranche and twenty-five from Monaco.
The old harbour still has its wooden pointus tied along the quay and a row of cafés behind them. It is a five-minute walk from the station, which makes it the easiest port to reach from anywhere between Cannes and Ventimiglia without a car.
Most days out of Beaulieu start east towards Monaco or west into the Cap Ferrat coves, and either is a short enough run to be swimming within half an hour of casting off.
Port de Plaisance de Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Quai Nord. Boarding is at the pontoon rather than a desk, and the day starts the moment you step aboard.

Lunch by sea
Passage times are the quickest boat in the fleet on a flat morning. Your captain will tell you honestly what the sea is doing before you commit to a long run.
